Turning SOLO Surfing into a COHESIVE TEAM PLAY SPORT

WHAT BRINGS KIDS TOGETHER?

Playing a game, a challenge, working as a team and being part of something they have to work through differences to achieve.

TEAM SPORTS AND FUN

Football, lacrosse, soccer have that captivating moment when you see a team really come together. In many cases, even though the team has personal differences, they put them aside to work together for a win.

That is what Team Wave Surfing Non Profit organization wants to offer surfing.

The fun that goes into competing as a TEAM and WORKING TOGETHER to GAIN POINTS on ONE unpredictable WAVE is a great experience. It brings a depth and level of fun interactions by team members of all different skills.

BENEFITS ARE

Strengthening friendships and opening an avenue for KIDS THAT WOULDN'T normally want to SURF ALONE to have a group of team mates that WANT TO HELP them improve and that will include them.

Garners an ENVIRONMENT of PEER TEACHING and LEARNING that is gained when you are working with your team mate on building a cohesive skill

Development of RELATIONSHIPS and INTRODUCTION of a sport that doesn't have the FOCUS ON gaining professional status. Like other team sports, many adults think fondly of playing the sport even though they may WATCH the sport being played professionally.

The growth of RESPECT for their coaches, their fellow team members and the opposing team is a great character builder for youth with team sports.

The benefit of INTRODUCING a NEW LEVEL of PLAYERS to an age old sport is exciting.

Creating FUN in surfing that doesn't mean you have to GO it ALONE, now you feed off the energy of your team members to become a part of the whole success.

The thought of WINNING will have a different meaning when you do it as a team, as part of a whole, even if in small ways you contributed.

Takes the FUN to the Elementary Level to develop various roads to entry into the sport.

FAMILY fun is the the topping of it all. A way to bring the family out and connect with a common goal of supporting the Team Play.
